Comparing new mobile phones is the way to determine which phone is right for you. For example, the Sony Ericsson S500i compared to the Samsung G600.

First the Sony Ericsson S500i mobile phone is also a very trendy and sleek looking mobile phone that will impress people too! The camera is not as nice as some others, being a standard 2.0 mega pixel camera. Though this will still give you good shots, the mobile phone with a 5.0 mega pixel camera will give you sharper pictures. This is lightweight coming in at only 94 grams, which is close to the lightest looked at during our reviews. You have a plethora of picks for colours, including mysterious green, ice purple, contrasted copper, spring yellow, and steel silver. With 12 MB of memory that can be expanded with a simple purchase of a memory card, this shouldn’t create a problem for you.

Now let’s look at the specifications of the Samsung G600. It weighs a small 104 grams so it will be easy to hold for those long conversations with friends. The display is 2.2″ and 240 x 320 pixels which means a nice size screen that you can see pretty well. Holding up to 1000 numbers you should never run out of space for new contacts no matter how social you are. The memory is 55 MB and can be expanded with a purchase of another card. The camera is one of the best in the market is 5 mega pixels, so your sure to always get great pictures when you’re out there wanting to snap pictures of your friends and family.

Both of these phones are great phones, both are sleek and trendy, and both will have your friends wanting to use your phone, or hoping out to go and buy their own mobile phone. Great you’re a trend setter, maybe if you send them to the same place as you went you’ll be able to garner some extras from the mobile phone company! But even if you don’t you’ll enjoy either of these phones as much as the other one. The camera in the Samsung G600 is better so if you want to get a new mobile phone that offers you a great way to take pictures and one that will give you good pictures it’s the Samsung over the Sony Ericsson S500i.

However, if you are looking for a phone that you can get more variety of colours in then the Sony Ericsson S500i would be your choice with those five colour choices they offer you. You won’t get that many choices from the mobile phone Samsung G600.

So look at both phones online after ready this review, study well and decide what you want before going to the mobile phone shop. Or go to the shop and look at them in person. See if they have any mobile phone deals they might be offering and choose that way. Sometimes it all comes down to price and that’s it!

Sony Ericsson W980i Versus Motorola Motorockr E8 http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/14/sony-ericsson-w980i-versus-motorola-motorockr-e8/ http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/14/sony-ericsson-w980i-versus-motorola-motorockr-e8/#comments Tue, 14 Oct 2008 17:00:16 +0000 n600nn http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/14/sony-ericsson-w980i-versus-motorola-motorockr-e8/

In other comparisons of mobile phones we will take a look at the Sony Ericsson W980i as compared to the Motorola MOTOROCKR E8. First off we know that the W980i has the outstanding capability of holding up to 8000 on a 8 GB storage, plus it also has a built in FM transmitter making it easy to tune into those radio stations.

The Motorola will hold up, well it doesn’t really say on the specs but it does say that the Motorola Rocker is in fact built for music, you can shop over 200 stores online, and all this is done by the touch screen. The memory of the Motorola is at 2 GB plus an extra 4 GB can be added.

The Motorola E8 has a 2.0 megapixel camera, which isn’t up to par against the 3.2 megapixel provided by the Sony W980i. Both mobile phones weigh the same 100 grams, and both are touch screen.

Again the price of the Sony Ericsson W980i varies tremendously and the Motorola will usually run less. Again, it is a huge price difference between the two mobile phones.

When looking for mobile phone deals you may want to check out a new mobile phone service from what you have, sometimes they will give you a great price on one of the more expensive mobile phones to entice you to come to their company.

Again both of these mobile phones are great, you have the storage difference, which it seems Sony Ericsson pretty much has under control at present. No one has even come close to their storage, not even another mobile phone created by them.

So how do you decide between these two phones? First off as just stated you should go and see if any phone company may be running a mobile phone deal for signing up with their company. When this happens who knows you may be able to get the more expensive W980i for a much cheaper price. Really this might be the best deal to go with, because a nice mobile phone will last you for a good amount of time, while a less expensive one may not last you near as long.

Both of these mobile phones are very good and have their benefits, at times people will only buy certain name brands of mobile phones just because they have always used them and feel that they may be the best in the business. It’s strictly up to each and every consumer what they feel they want from their mobile phone.

Or it might come down to something as simple as what colors you can get a phone in, people may not like black phones so they will have to get anything that isn’t black. But what if you see someone who’s favorite color is red or a blue that looks topaz and they want their phone that color, if one of these is available they will probably settle on that phone for that reason only. But at least if this is the case it is a great phone they are getting!

Sony Ericsson K850i Versus Sony Ericsson S500i http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/13/sony-ericsson-k850i-versus-sony-ericsson-s500i/ http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/13/sony-ericsson-k850i-versus-sony-ericsson-s500i/#comments Mon, 13 Oct 2008 05:29:52 +0000 n600nn http://sony.plentypage.com/2008/10/13/sony-ericsson-k850i-versus-sony-ericsson-s500i/

Comparing mobile phones that you can purchase can be a nightmare. What about two popular mobile phones on the market today; Sony Ericsson K850i and the Sony Ericsson S500i.

First the Sony Ericsson K850i, this mobile phone is a nice looking mobile phone, trendy and sleek it will impress those people you want too! Plus it’s a member of the cybershot family put out by Sony Ericsson, which means it has a bunch of those cool features on the camera. And that means it also has the great 5.0 mega pixel camera that will give you great pictures. Plus this really awesome feature called best picture, the mobile phone will take 9 shots in a second and you can pick the best of all these out to keep! Memory offered is 40 MB of memory but can be extended with a simple purchase of a memory card. There are three different colours, but they aren’t full phone colours and just a slight highlighting so they don’t really change the look all that much. The colours are luminous green, velvet blue and quicksilver black.

On the other hand the Sony Ericsson S500i mobile phone is also a very trendy and sleek looking mobile phone that will impress people too! The camera is not as nice as the K850i, being a standard 2.0 mega pixel camera.

Both of these phones are really good mobile phones. You should decide what the most benefits you are looking for and see which offers you the best choice. An example would be if you’re into taking nice pictures you will go with the higher mega pixel camera choice. This has the benefit of giving you great shots when you want them!

But overall both phones are fairly matched up and no clear winner could be picked between them. If you’re going for colour you need the Sony Ericsson S500i, it’s an awesome phone with some really cool colours that it can be bought in.

Of course when looking at mobile phones, you should go to a mobile phone company and see if they have any really good mobile phone deals to offer you. The best decision would be to go with the cheaper of the two phones when getting into a phone contract with the mobile phone company. But that’s really just common sense. However if you happen to like one more than the other and the price difference is something you can handle go for your first choice. This way you will be sure to be happy with your new mobile phone.

When purchasing any type of electronic device, consumers have a tendency to trust brands which have long been in existence. The longer a company has been in operation, the better the brand recognition is.

In the case of Sony Ericsson, despite the fact that they are a relatively young company as compared to the mobile phone manufacturer ‘giants’ - they have enjoyed a constant stream of customers. These loyal clients avidly subscribe to the Sony Ericsson brand of mobile phones whenever a new one is released in the market.

A Look Back into the History of Sony Ericsson as a Company

But how exactly did the Sony Ericsson company come about? Sony Ericsson is actually a joint venture between Sony and Ericsson which merged in this joint venture which was founded in 2001.

The company’s head office is located in London and they currently specialize in manufacturing the following products:

- Hi-tech accessories
- Mobile phones
- Mobile music devices
- Wireless systems
- Wireless voice devices
- Wireless data devices

When Two Companies Joined Forces

Again, Sony Ericsson is a joint venture which was established seven years ago. The two parent companies are Sony Corporation and Ericsson.

Sony Corporation is a Japanese consumer electronics company, which is one of the world’s most popular brands. On the other hand, Ericsson is a Swedish telecommunications company.

Rather than individually manufacturing their own lines of mobile phones, these two companies decided to join forces. When Sony Ericsson was formed in 2001, Sony and Ericsson stopped manufacturing their own mobile phones.

Key Dates in the History of Sony Ericsson

To better learn about the history of these two companies, here are some key dates in the history of Sony Ericsson:

1885 - Lars Magnus Ericsson was the name of the man behind the company, and he first mended telegraph equipment in Sweden. It was on this same year that Ericsson started repairing and building their own handsets - which they are still doing up to now.

1958 - The name of Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Company was officially changed to Sony.

1968 - Following the popularity of Sony as one of the best consumer electronic brands in the world, Sony UK was founded.

1987 - Ericsson produced the first mobile phone for the NMT network.

1992 - Ericsson built more and more mobile phone models to keep up with the consumer demand.

2001 - Sony Ericsson was established.

The Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone Manufacturer of Today

Over the years, Sony Ericsson has managed to etch a name for itself in the very competitive mobile phone manufacturing industry.

For subscribers who are looking for Sony Ericsson mobile phone deals, you do have a lot of options. You can take you pick from the line of mobile phones that they have which includes:

- Sony Ericsson Walkman Series
- Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot series
- Sony Ericsson UIQ Smartphones
- Sony Ericsson Xperia Windows Mobile Operating System Phones

Whether you are looking for a good music phone, camera phone or smartphone, there should be Sony Ericsson mobile phone deals which will suit your mobile communication needs to a tee.

One can also avail of the video streaming facility on these widgets. Even the typical communication features like the SMS, MMS, instant messaging and the predictive text input are available on these widgets. At times, the contacts may be falling short of time and they may not be in a position to have a talk over the phone. Under such circumstances the users can make good use of these features. These features will help convey ones messages which the contacts may go through during their free time. Such messages need not be always raw as one can decorate such messages with the MMS features. Moreover, the users can even utilise its instant messaging service which too is a lively chatting means. As these widgets have predictive text input the users need not spend much time in creating the text. This input predicts the words being typed by the users and help complete the whole text within no time.

Among the dozens of mobile phone manufacturers in the market today, Sony Ericsson is probably one of the youngest. The London-based company was founded in 2001 and it is actually a join venture between Sony Corporation and Ericsson which is a Swedish company.

Today, Sony Ericsson specializes in manufacturing the following products:

- Mobile phones

- Mobile music devices

- Hi-tech accessories

- Wireless systems

- Wireless voice devices

- Wireless data services

Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones at a Glance

As one of the specializations of Sony Ericsson in general, let us take a look at the line of mobile phones that the company has released so far:

1. Walkman Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones

When purchasing mobile phones these days, it is quite difficult to find an all-in-one mobile device that will give you all the features that you need. As such, you need to decide whether you will settle for an excellent music phone with an average camera - or an excellent camera phone with an average music player.

In this area, Sony Ericsson has lead the pact in manufacturing music-centred mobile phones when the Walkman series was launched in 2005.

2. Cyber-Shot Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones

If you are leaning more towards having an excellent camera phone, then you should go for the Cyber-Shot Sony Ericsson mobile phones. This line of high-end camera phones was launched in 2006, with the K-Series.

3. UIQ Sony Ericsson Smartphones

Every mobile phone company has started launching a line of smartphones to suit the discriminating tastes of the consumers - and Sony Ericsson is no exception. The Sony Ericsson P800 is an example of the UIQ smartphones that they have.

4. Xperia Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones

Lastly, there is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone which was launched last February 2008. This utilizes the Windows Mobile operating system

Other Sony Ericsson Developments for the Rest of 2008

First up, the company recently announced that they will launch a new music service called PlayNow Plus. The service features unlimited music downloads which rivals the music that rival company Nokia is offering.

The PlayNow Plus music service will start in Sweden - then will be rolled out in other countries by 2009.

So which Sony Ericsson mobile phone will be compatible with the new music service that they have? The company is set to release the Sony Ericsson W902 Walkman mobile phone - which will be the first to include the integrated PlayNow Plus service.

The second exciting development that the company offers to its loyal subscribers is the launching of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone. This is the first smartphone that the company has which uses the Windows Mobile operating system.

Based from the initial reviews, the hardware installed in the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 does not disappoint in terms of performance.

To give you an idea about what to expect, here are the specifications for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone:

- 800×480 resolution Touchscreen (flush)

- 3.2 Megapixel camera

- MicroSD for expansion
