Eureka! I’ve figured out why Sony’s PlayStation 3 isn’t doing that well! There’s just not an expensive enough model out there. Yep, the $600 version with a 60-GB hard drive simply doesn’t pack enough punch for John Q. Videogame. What the general public’s really waiting for is an even more expensive version of the console, with 20 extra gigabytes of storage. Yep, those Sony execs really have their finger on the pulse of the videogame-buying public.

So it looks like the new, bigger, badder version of the PS3 is on its way. Just check out that picture above. Sure, it might be a Photoshop, but the rumors have been flying hot and heavy lately, what with the euthanizing of the 20-GB model, so it might just be legit. No word on when Sony will start putting out good games for the system, but by the time they do there should be plenty of very expensive consoles available to play them with. — Adam Frucci
